Swagatam Vidyarthi! Welcome to all who wish to learn!

This site is about your identity. The old song "The Boxer" from Simon and Garfunkel describes most of us as we left for college, leaving the security of home for the first time:
"When I left my home and my family, I was no more than a boy (or girl)
In the company of strangers
In the quiet of the railway station, running scared
Laying low, seeking out the poorer quarters, where the ragged people go
Looking for the places only they would know"

The danger is in the first stanza of the song:
"I have squandered my resistance for a pocketful of mumbles, such are promises
All lies and jest, still a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest..."

This site is about not forgetting who you are, and getting support to reinforce that identity. It's about not letting others define your identity. It's about the freedom to think and reason. It's also about
"Give me the strength never to bend my knees before insolent might" as Rabindranath Thakur ("Tagore" to the verbally-challenged).

Swagatam. Please use this site to learn. To explore. And most of all, to have the courage to be yourself.
